Lucknow: Minister of State for Transport (Independent Charge) of Uttar Pradesh, Dayashankar Singh informed that free travel has been permitted for eligible dependents of Loktantra Senanis in buses operated by Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation. He informed that in this regard, under the Uttar Pradesh Loktantra Senani Samman Adhiniyam of 2016, it was provided that after the death of Loktantra Senanis, their eligible heirs will be provided free travel by the Transport Corporation. There is no justification for issuing any separate Government Order in this regard.
The Transport Minister informed that after the death of Loktantra Senanis, there will be a provision for free travel along with an attendant to their eligible heirs on the basis of the identity card provided by the District Magistrate. He informed that in this regard, all necessary instructions have been given to the officers/employees of the Transport Corporation. He informed that departmental officers have been directed to ensure strict compliance of this order.
