Ayodhya: After a long wait of 500 years, the festival of Ram Navami is being celebrated with great pomp in the grand and divine temple built at the birth place of Lord Shri Ram in Ayodhyadham. There is an atmosphere of joy in the entire city regarding this.
There is an influx of devotees in the city since morning for this special day. Ramlala was given a divine bath first thing in the morning on Wednesday. Ramlala was smeared with perfume after taking Panchamrit bath.
Today Ramlala devotees will get darshan for 19 hours. Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has decided to extend the period of darshan only on the day of Ram Janmotsav i.e. 17th April.
Lord Ramlala’s Surya Tilak was done today on Ramnavmi.
Devotees are being given darshan from 3:30 am. Shringar, Raag-Bhog and darshan will continue together till 11 pm.
