Special Program at Kalam Center to Promote Women-led Startups

Lucknow: Under the guidance of  Vice-Chancellor Dr. J.P. Pandey, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University hosted a special Startup Talk at its incubation center, Kalam Center for Innovation and Incubation of Startups Foundation (KCIIF). The event aimed to encourage and support women-led startups in Uttar Pradesh.

Addressing the students, KCIIF Director Dr. Anuj Kumar Sharma extended his best wishes and motivated them to take a step into the world of startups. He emphasized that women’s participation in the startup ecosystem not only fosters innovation but also significantly contributes to social and economic progress.

Innovation Hub Head Mahip Singh inspired students to work towards innovation and entrepreneurship. Vandana Sharma, Manager of Innovation Hub, also addressed the students, providing insights into the process of starting a startup and informing them about various government schemes supporting women entrepreneurs.

A special inspirational session was conducted by Arshia Lekhi and Simran Lekhi, founders of a startup incubated at KCIIF. They shared their startup journey, the challenges they faced, and how they leveraged available resources to empower women entrepreneurship.

The program witnessed active participation from students of affiliated institutions, who eagerly shared their queries and ideas. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Kalam Center’s Assistant Incubation Manager, Anurag Tripathi.
