Bareilly: A special cattle health camp was organised at Kanha Gaushala in Nadausi, Ward 37, under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan–2026 being carried out as part of the Swachh Bharat Mission. The camp focused on health examinations, treatment and medical advice for cattle, while promoting animal welfare, conservation and public awareness about compassionate care.
Around 500 cattle underwent health examinations during the camp. The programme was conducted by Pandit Hari Om Gautam, while a team from the Animal Husbandry Department examined the animals and provided treatment, medicines and necessary health-related advice based on their requirements.

Mayor Dr Umesh Gautam visited the camp and took information from veterinary doctors about the health condition and treatment of the cattle. He directed the concerned officials and veterinary teams to ensure regular health check-ups, timely treatment and proper care of the animals. The Mayor also garlanded a cow as a symbolic gesture of respect and highlighted the importance of cattle care and protection.
Veterinary services were provided by Dr Rajiv Singh, Dr Sunaina Singh, Dr Sumit and Hari Shankar. The team also provided medicines and guidance on maintaining the health and wellbeing of the cattle. Activities including health screening and ear tagging were undertaken to strengthen animal health monitoring and management.
Additional Municipal Commissioner Shashi Bhushan, Environmental Engineer Rajiv Rathi, Animal Welfare Officer Harpal Singh, Deputy Municipal Health Officer, Chief Sanitation and Food Inspector, Sanitary Inspector, Deputy Chairperson Poonam Rathore, councillors and other municipal officials and employees participated in the programme.

The initiative conveyed the message that cattle care and protection are linked with social responsibility, compassion and animal welfare.
