Lucknow: Siddhanta Śikshak is a dedicated Faculty Development Programme (FDP) run by the Siddhanta Knowledge Foundation (SKF) to train college and university faculty to teach Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) within their own subjects, rather than as a separate add-on lecture. It is structured as a six-daycourse — two days of shared IKS foundations followed by four days of discipline-specific integration across STEM, Management, Law & Governance, and Humanities & Arts — and is designed to run at par with MMTTC with respect to content and certification.
WHY IT MATTERS
India’s National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 calls for Indian Knowledge Systems to be woven into higher-education curricula at every level. In practice, most faculty have attended IKS workshops that build general awareness but stop short of giving them the tools to design a classes, an assessment, or a classroom activity around it. ŚIKSHAK is built to close that specific gap — the distance between knowing IKS exists and being able to teach it credibly.
