Lucknow: Lucknow Police have intensified efforts to arrest Aamir, the alleged accomplice of influencer-model Shraddha Dubey, who is suspected of helping her flee after the murder of businessman and café owner Shiva Sharma. Police have announced a reward of ₹50,000 for information leading to Aamir’s arrest.
Aamir, a resident of Lucknow’s Dubagga area, has been absconding since the incident. According to police, he has stopped using his mobile number and SIM card to avoid detection, making it difficult for investigators to trace his whereabouts.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central) Arpit Vijayvargiya said the police were gathering information about Aamir’s possible hideouts and contacts to track him down. He expressed confidence that the accused would be arrested soon.
Shiva Sharma died on October 9 after falling from the fourth floor of a building in Lucknow’s Hazratganj area. Following a complaint filed by his mother, Ranjana Sharma, a murder case was registered at Hazratganj police station against several people, including Shraddha Dubey.
During the investigation, police learnt that Shraddha, her sister Rashmi Dubey and their driver, Danish, had travelled to Nepal. A joint operation involving the Lucknow Police, Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) and Nagpur Police subsequently led to their arrest in Nagpur.
The three were brought to Lucknow, produced before a court and remanded to judicial custody. Shraddha is the prime accused in the case.
Meanwhile, a team of three lawyers visited the jail to meet Shraddha, Rashmi and Danish to discuss legal aspects of the case. During the meeting, Danish reportedly broke down in tears while meeting Shraddha.
Police investigations are continuing, with efforts focused on locating Aamir and establishing the circumstances surrounding Sharma’s death.
