SBI Lucknow Celebrates 80th Independence Day with Patriotic Fervour

Lucknow: State Bank of India’s Local Head Office in Lucknow celebrated India’s 80th Independence Day with patriotic fervour, paying tribute to the freedom fighters whose courage and sacrifices laid the foundation of the nation’s freedom and sovereignty.

The celebrations began with the ceremonial hoisting of the national flag by Dipesh Raj, Chief General Manager, Lucknow Circle.

Addressing the SBI family, Dipesh Raj said the bank’s strategic direction remains rooted in a simple philosophy: “Digital First, Customer First and Nation Always.” He highlighted SBI’s significant role in supporting India’s economic growth and promoting inclusive development.

He noted that SBI’s extensive branch network, supported by its digital infrastructure, continues to help bridge geographical and financial gaps by extending banking services to rural, remote and underserved communities. He also underlined the bank’s contribution to vital sectors such as infrastructure, agriculture and MSMEs.

Through these initiatives, SBI continues to support entrepreneurship, strengthen rural livelihoods and contribute to the broader national goals of Make in India, Aatmanirbhar Bharat and Viksit Bharat by 2047.

The celebrations also featured a vibrant series of patriotic cultural performances by SBI employees, reflecting India’s rich cultural heritage and enduring spirit of unity in diversity. Patriotic songs and recitations added to the sense of national pride and celebration.

Senior officials, retired SBI personnel, employees and their family members attended the programme and participated enthusiastically, making the occasion a memorable celebration of India’s independence and the values of service, unity and nation-building.
