Mumbai: Diwali is a time to celebrate togetherness, cherish traditions and create memories with loved ones. For actor Sameer Patil, who is currently seen in Studio LSD’s show Tumm Se Tumm Tak, the festival is all about enjoying simple moments with family and friends. The actor prefers intimate celebrations over extravagant festivities and looks forward to spending quality time with his loved ones. He also shares how celebrating Diwali on the sets of his show makes the occasion even more special.
Talking about his Diwali plans, Sameer says, “For me, Diwali has always been about the warmth of being close to your family. I’m not really someone who leans towards loud, extravagant festivities. I find joy in simpler traditions. Sitting down with family, lighting up the house with diyas and decorations, sharing food and just catching up without looking at the clock is what recharges me. That said, the festive spirit is incomplete without friends, so we will definitely have our close circle coming over to share sweets, laughter and cheer.”
For actors working on daily shows, festivals also become an opportunity to celebrate with their extended family on the sets. Sharing his plans for the celebration with his co-stars and crew, he adds, “When you’re doing a daily routine on a show, work becomes a second home and the unit becomes family. While managing dates and tight call times can get hectic, Diwali brings an energy that naturally cuts through any fatigue. We will definitely have a celebration on the sets of Tumm Se Tumm Tak. It’s always special to share that festive warmth with the people you spend twelve hours a day creating stories with.”

Looking back at the year, the actor considers Tumm Se Tumm Tak one of his biggest blessings. He feels grateful for the opportunities and appreciation that have come his way through the show. Talking about what the year has meant to him and his expectations from the coming year, Sameer shares, “My biggest blessing this year has been Tumm Se Tumm Tak. An actor spends years looking for characters that challenge them creatively and resonate genuinely with the audience. This show gave me creative fulfilment, love and recognition with awards, which I am deeply thankful to God and our viewers for.”
He further adds, “Looking ahead to the coming year, professionally, I’m eager to push my craft further by taking on compelling roles across films and dynamic web spaces. I am also working towards rolling out my directorial venture in Hindi cinema. Personally, I just want to protect this peace of mind, stay grounded and continue telling stories that leave a mark.”
