Lucknow: The 301st birth anniversary of Rajmata Ahilyabai Holkar, revered as a great ruler, visionary administrator, and champion of public welfare, was celebrated with devotion and enthusiasm at the Samajwadi Party district office on Sunday.
The programme was organized under the guidance of Samajwadi Party National President and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and State President Shyam Lal Pal. The event was presided over by District President Arshad Hussain. Party leaders and workers paid floral tributes to Rajmata Ahilyabai Holkar and remembered her remarkable contributions to society and governance.
Addressing the gathering, Arshad Hussain described Rajmata Ahilyabai Holkar as an enduring symbol of justice, efficient administration, and women’s empowerment. He said that despite emerging from a humble background and facing numerous challenges, she successfully led her kingdom with compassion and treated her subjects as members of her own family.
Highlighting her legacy, he noted that Ahilyabai Holkar played a historic role in the development of the Malwa region and contributed significantly to the preservation and revival of Indian cultural heritage by constructing temples, ghats, ponds, and dharamshalas across the country.
The district president urged party workers to carry forward her ideals by working for the welfare of the oppressed, marginalized, and deprived sections of society. He stated that ensuring justice and equal opportunities for all would be the most meaningful tribute to Rajmata Ahilyabai Holkar. He reiterated that the Samajwadi Party remains committed to social justice and the dignity of every section of society.

The programme was conducted by District Spokesperson Javed Akhtar Mantu.
Among those present were District General Secretary Rajesh Yadav, Assembly President Shiv Sampat Singh, Haji Mohammad Zaki, Mohammad Afzal Khan, Sanjay Sahu, Shahid Khan, Farhan Siddiqui, Office In-charge Brijesh Yadav, Somnath Tiwari, Shabbir Ahmad, Dharmendra Sahu, Hira Lal Sagar, Mohammad Rafim, Ankit Samrat, Anil Tiwari, Satish Tiwari, Vinod Yadav, Madhav Raj Yadav, Javed, Nabeel Khan, and hundreds of senior party leaders, office-bearers, front organization heads, and dedicated workers.
The participants collectively resolved to spread the ideals and values of Rajmata Ahilyabai Holkar among the masses and continue working towards an inclusive and just society.
