Bareilly: Preparations for the upcoming convocation ceremony at Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University gathered momentum as Vice-Chancellor Prof. K. P. Singh chaired a high-level meeting of deans and heads of departments at the Committee Hall of the Vice-Chancellor’s Office.
The meeting focused on reviewing arrangements and ensuring that the convocation is conducted in a grand, well-organized and dignified manner. The Vice-Chancellor briefed participants on the guidelines received from the state government and provided detailed instructions regarding the conduct of the ceremony.
To ensure smooth execution of the event, the university has constituted 32 committees, each entrusted with specific responsibilities. These include committees for reception, stage and venue management, seating arrangements, mementos and souvenirs, printing materials, speech coordination, booklet distribution, floral decorations, environmental management, national anthem and university song arrangements, banners and flags, road cleanliness, discipline and security, guest hospitality, student seating, gown distribution, degree distribution, correspondence, medals and dress code preparation, among others.
During the meeting, special appreciation was extended to members of the university’s newly established Central Maintenance Cell, including Dr. Atul Katiyar and Prof. Deepak Rana, for their efforts in restoring electricity and Wi-Fi services across the campus following a recent severe storm.
