Gonda: The district administration has stepped up relief efforts in flood-affected areas of Gonda, with teams visiting villages to distribute food packets and assess the situation on the ground.
Acting on the directions of the District Magistrate, Chief Development Officer Dayanand Prasad, Additional District Magistrate Pramod Jha and District Disaster Expert Rajesh Srivastava visited flood-affected villages in the Tarabganj and Karnailganj tehsils and distributed lunch packets among affected families.
The officials visited Ailipersauli, Garhi, Bahadurpur, Nakhara and other villages, where they interacted directly with residents and assessed the prevailing flood situation. They sought information about waterlogging, transportation, food supplies and other essential requirements. Residents’ concerns were heard and concerned officials were directed to ensure necessary arrangements based on local needs.
The officials assured villagers that the administration was closely monitoring the situation and would provide all possible assistance to affected families. Residents were also urged to follow official safety advisories and immediately inform the authorities about any urgent problem.
The district administration is continuously monitoring relief and rescue operations in the affected areas. Officials are conducting field visits to assess conditions and ensure that relief material reaches families according to their requirements.
Additional District Magistrate Pramod Jha directed the concerned officials to ensure that there is no negligence in relief operations and that assistance reaches needy families without delay. The administration said the safety of flood-affected residents and uninterrupted access to essential services remain its priorities.
