Mumbai: SS Rajamouli, the renowned director, has just unveiled his latest project: “Baahubali: Crown of Blood,” an animated series set in the captivating universe of his blockbuster two-part epic, Baahubali. This series will take viewers back to the mesmerizing kingdom of Mahishmati, where the original films captured hearts and box office records, propelling Telugu cinema to national and global acclaim. With stellar performances from Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, and Tamannaah Bhatia, the Baahubali movies became a sensation.
Rajamouli teased fans with the title announcement trailer, hinting at the unstoppable return of the legendary Baahubali. The anticipation is high as audiences await the upcoming series.
While Rajamouli’s involvement in “Baahubali: Crown of Blood” remains uncertain, fans can expect a continuation of the epic saga that began with “Baahubali: The Beginning” in 2015. The first installment followed the adventures of Sivudu as he embarked on a journey to rescue Devasena, the former queen of Mahishmati, from the clutches of the tyrannical king Bhallaladeva. The mystery of ‘Why Kattappa killed Baahubali?’ kept viewers on the edge of their seats until the story’s conclusion in “Baahubali 2: The Conclusion” in 2017. These films, released in multiple languages, collectively grossed over Rs 1,000 crore worldwide.
In addition to the movies, the Baahubali franchise expanded with the Prime Video animated series, “Baahubali: The Lost Legends” in 2017, further immersing audiences in the rich lore of the Mahishmati kingdom.
