Gonda: The Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) has provided financial support to the family of a deceased insured person in Gonda, with District Magistrate Priyanka Niranjan handing over a cheque of Rs 2 lakh to the beneficiary during the Collectorate’s public grievance hearing.
During the Janata Darshan at the Collectorate, the District Magistrate and Lead District Manager (LDM) Vinod Tiwari presented the insurance amount to Poonam Tiwari, wife of late Brij Kishore Tiwari, a resident of Vadipur in Itiyathok.

PMJJBY is one of the Central Government’s social security schemes aimed at providing life insurance protection to ordinary families at a low premium. Under the scheme, the nominee of an insured person receives the prescribed insurance amount in the event of the insured person’s death, providing financial assistance to the family during difficult circumstances.
Indian Bank’s Sadashiv branch in Itiyathok completed the necessary formalities and settled the insurance claim of late Brij Kishore Tiwari. The Rs 2 lakh cheque was subsequently handed over to his wife, Poonam Tiwari.

The District Magistrate said ensuring that eligible beneficiaries receive the benefits of government welfare schemes in a timely and transparent manner remains a priority of the administration. She directed concerned officials and bank representatives to ensure that eligible citizens are made aware of social security schemes and that their claims are processed promptly according to prescribed procedures.
LDM Vinod Tiwari said PMJJBY provides life insurance coverage to bank account holders at a very low premium. He urged the public to obtain information about PMJJBY and other social security schemes and avail themselves of the benefits for which they are eligible.
The financial assistance received through the Janata Darshan is expected to provide crucial support to the family of late Brij Kishore Tiwari during this difficult period. Officials and employees from the administration and the bank were present on the occasion.
