Ayodhya: Several employees who were removed from their previous responsibilities or transferred during the tenure of interim general secretary Krishna Mohan at the Ram Temple are reportedly being reinstated following the appointment of the new general secretary, Govind Dev.
According to the report, a number of decisions taken during Krishna Mohan’s tenure are now being reviewed or reversed, with several employees being restored to their earlier positions and responsibilities. Among those being reinstated are employees described in the report as being close to Vinod Rao and Anil Mishra.
The developments come shortly after Champat Rai and Anil Mishra visited the Tirth Seva Kendra. During the visit, Champat Rai reportedly interacted with employees and assured them that they could approach him if they faced any difficulties.
After assuming charge as general secretary, Govind Dev also met Champat Rai to understand the existing arrangements and functioning of the temple administration. The latest changes have triggered discussion about the renewed role of members of the earlier team in temple management.
Krishna Mohan Had Introduced Several Administrative Changes
Krishna Mohan was given charge as interim general secretary following the controversy surrounding the alleged theft of donations at the Ram Temple and the resignation of then-general secretary Champat Rai.
After taking charge, Krishna Mohan initiated several administrative changes. Employees facing complaints were issued show-cause notices, while the responsibilities and work assignments of several staff members were changed.
The report states that employees considered close to Vinod Rao and Anil Mishra were also among those affected by the administrative action. At the time, the two individuals reportedly did not oppose the issuance of notices or the transfer of employees.
Show-Cause Notices and Transfers Being Reconsidered
During Krishna Mohan’s tenure, the responsibilities of a large number of employees were changed and show-cause notices were issued to several staff members. However, the action could not be implemented fully in all cases.
Following a trust meeting on September 2, the appointment of a new CEO was approved, while the responsibility of general secretary subsequently came under Govind Dev.
After taking charge, Govind Dev reportedly began reviewing some of the earlier administrative decisions. As part of this process, Somesh Alandi, described as being close to Gopal Rao, has been ordered to return from Tirth Kshetra Puram to the Ram Temple. However, he had not joined his earlier post at the time of the report and was still serving at Tirth Kshetra Puram.
Show-Cause Notices Ordered to Be Withdrawn
Orders have reportedly also been issued to withdraw or render ineffective show-cause notices issued to dozens of employees during Krishna Mohan’s tenure.
In addition, earlier orders changing employees’ responsibilities are being reversed, with instructions issued to restore their previous assignments.
The report also states that K.D. Tiwari, described as being close to former trustee Dr Anil Mishra, has been restored to his earlier responsibility. Orders have also reportedly been issued for the release of pending payments to various agencies working with the Ram Temple.
Sandeep Gupta, K.D. Tiwari and Bajrang Pathak Reinstated
Two days earlier, Sandeep Gupta, son of late kar sevak Vasudev Gupta, along with K.D. Tiwari and Bajrang Pathak, were reportedly restored to their previous responsibilities.
Sandeep Gupta had been responsible for managing the locker facility at the pilgrim service centre. He was removed from the arrangement following a complaint by a foreign woman after a dispute over keeping belongings in a locker.
Following the complaint, interim general secretary Krishna Mohan issued Gupta a show-cause notice seeking an explanation. The report states that after his response was deemed unsatisfactory, he was removed from the assignment. It was subsequently decided to provide him work at the Ram Temple, reportedly keeping in view the financial circumstances of the family of the deceased kar sevak.
Tiwari and Pathak Also Return to Earlier Roles
K.D. Tiwari, who was responsible for overseeing jewellery belonging to Ram Lalla and articles received from devotees, and Bajrang Pathak, who handled prasad-related arrangements, had earlier been removed from the Ram Temple following complaints and transferred to Tirth Kshetra Puram at Bagh Bijaisi.
Tiwari reportedly joined his new assignment, while Pathak did not comply with the transfer order and continued serving at Kar Sevak Puram. He was subsequently removed from the arrangement by the interim general secretary.
Under the new administration headed by Swami Govind Dev Giri, K.D. Tiwari and Bajrang Pathak have now reportedly been restored to the Ram Temple with their earlier responsibilities.
The series of administrative changes marks a significant shift in the temple management structure, with several decisions taken during the previous interim administration now being reconsidered and earlier assignments being restored.
