Rihand: NTPC Rihand celebrated the successful conclusion of its flagship Girl Child Empowerment Mission-2026, “Sapno Ki Udaan” (Flight of Dreams), with a grand ceremony at the Tarang Auditorium on June 16. The four-week residential programme focused on building confidence, leadership, life skills, and self-reliance among young girls.
The closing event was attended by Sanjay Asati, Executive Director and Project Head, NTPC Rihand, along with senior officials from NTPC projects, women’s welfare organizations, CISF, village representatives, employees, and parents.
The participants showcased their talents through yoga demonstrations, cultural performances, patriotic songs, inspirational dances, and social-awareness skits. Their confidence and creativity earned enthusiastic applause from the audience.
Addressing the girls, Asati encouraged them to pursue their dreams fearlessly and make the skills learned during the workshop an integral part of their lives. He described them as future leaders and nation-builders.
The programme concluded with the distribution of gifts and mementoes to all participants, recognizing their dedication and achievements, and reaffirming NTPC’s commitment to empowering the girl child through education and skill development.
