Mumbai: In their clash against Mumbai Indians, Lucknow Super Giants restricted Mumbai Indians to a paltry 144. Marcus Stoinis was the star of the day. He scored 62 and took 1 for 19 in the bowling. His all-round performance helped LSG register a crucial four-wicket win over MI at the Ekana Cricket Stadium.

Chasing a low total of 145 on a slow wicket, Nuwan Thushara struck early, dismissing Arshin Kulkarni for a golden duck. KL Rahul was left playing the anchor, as his score read 5 off 13 balls after three overs and he was already determined to stay there till the end.

Gerald Coetzee was dismissed for 15 in the second over, thanks to two consecutive boundaries from Stoinis.

LSG lost skipper Rahul on 28 to a brilliant catch by Mohammad Nabi off Hardik Pandya’s bowling, which brought Mumbai back in the game. The duo added 58 runs in 40 balls for the second wicket. Stoinis was impressive with another half-century.
