Lucknow: A minor dispute over vehicle parking escalated into a firing incident in Lucknow, following which police arrested the accused within a few hours of the incident.
The incident took place in the Thakurganj police station area, where an argument reportedly broke out between neighbours over parking a vehicle in the locality.
According to police sources, a man identified as Prabhakar Nath Dwivedi allegedly opened fire on his neighbours, identified as Ajay and Abhay, after the disagreement intensified.
Soon after receiving information about the firing, the Thakurganj police reached the spot and launched an immediate investigation considering the seriousness of the matter.
Under the leadership of Omveer Singh, the police team carried out a swift operation and arrested the accused within hours of the incident.

Police also recovered a country-made .315 bore firearm allegedly used in the firing from the possession of the accused. Officials confirmed that a case has been registered against the accused under relevant legal sections, and further investigation is underway.
No major injuries were immediately reported in the incident, though the firing created panic in the neighbourhood and drew the attention of local residents.
People living in the area praised the prompt response of the police and said the quick arrest helped prevent further tension in the locality.
Police officials stated that strict vigilance is being maintained in the area to ensure law and order and warned that stern action would be taken against anyone attempting to disturb public peace.
