Mumbai: This winter, Lucknow is set to host an array of musical powerhouses, with performances by iconic artists such as Diljit Dosanjh, Shreya Ghoshal, Farhan Akhtar, Prateek Kuhad, Talwiinder, Krsna, and Satinder Sartaaj. The city’s music scene is primed for an electrifying transformation.
The season kicked off with a performance by sarod maestro Ustad Amjad Ali Khan as part of the Uttar Pradesh Sangeet Natak Academy’s Dharohar series, celebrating its foundation day. Other major highlights include Diljit Dosanjh’s much-anticipated “Dil-Luminati” tour performance on November 22, with Ekana Stadium to host the event.
Event organizers highlight the shift in the live music landscape, with larger venues like stadiums replacing smaller halls. “The pass culture has grown, and demand is surging,” says club owner Jasminder Singh, who organized Dosanjh’s 2015 show.
With big-name acts and a booming event industry, Lucknow is cementing its place as a hub for music lovers, offering a vibrant mix of classical and contemporary performances.
