Lucknow crowned champion of Sub Junior Hockey Competition

Lucknow team defeated Ghazipur to win the title of 16th Padmashree Pt. Pandit Jamnalal Sharma Memorial State Level Sub Junior Hockey Competition.

Lucknow: Lucknow defeated Ghazipur to win the title of 16th Padmashree Pt. Pandit Jamnalal Sharma Memorial State Level Sub Junior Hockey Competition. The final match of the competition organized by KD Singh Babu Society was held  at Chandrabhanu Gupta ground. The host team managed to become the champion by defeating Ghazipur by a margin of 5-2.

Pressure put on Ghazipur from the beginning

Lucknow had put pressure on Ghazipur from the beginning of the game. In the first half, Lucknow played aggressively and scored two goals. In the second half also, Lucknow maintained its pace and scored three more goals by penetrating the defense line of Ghazipur. At the same time, Ghazipur also tried to make a comeback without giving up and scored two goals. However, the Ghazipur team could not score any more goals till the end of the game, due to which it had to face defeat.

Excellent performance of the players

Lucknow’s victory was due to their excellent strategy and excellent performance of the players. The players of the host team maintained their dominance on the field by playing with good coordination and unity. With this victory, the Lucknow team captured the title of the Sub Junior Hockey Competition and lifted the trophy with the applause and praise of the audience. An atmosphere of enthusiasm and happiness was seen among the audience on the victory of the Lucknow team.
