LU event spearheads the idea of capacity building of auditors

Lucknow: A team of 34 auditors from 23 countries will be visiting University of Lucknow as part of the 159th International Training Programme on Performance Audit being organized by International Centre for Information Systems and Audit (iCISA). iCISA is the premier training institute of SAI India which deals in capacity building of auditors across the globe primarily in areas related to IS Audit and Data Analytics.

iCISA has been dedicated to achieving its goal of raising the standard of audit and increasing the effectiveness of public audit institutions and has trained more than 5000 auditors from 149 different nations.

The 34 auditors from 23 countries shall visit University of Lucknow to understand the journey to academic excellence being pursued by the university and the various initiatives that have paved the way to the current academic standing of the university.

During this visit, a presentation will be made to showcase the university’s’ achievements and the processes that have led to the current status. The presentation will also include details of the financial, administrative and auditing processes undertaken by the university.

The presentation will be followed by interactions of university officials with the international team. This will be followed by visit and briefing about the historical building by Prof. Piyush Bhargav, Department of Ancient Indian History and Archaeology and Director, Institute of Tourism Studies. The team will then visit Anthropology museum, Tagore library museum with its paintings, sculptures and rare manuscripts, Geology museum and Prof. SC Baugh Museum at Zoology department.

During this visit, the university will try to showcase its best and also learn about international processes of performance audit.
