Lucknow: SCImago Institutions Ranking 2024 was released on 29th March, 2024. Among the 324 Indian institutions participating in the ranking, it has been ranked 91, a big jump from the 181st position in 2023.
The SCImago Institutions Rankings (SIR) is a classification of academic and research-related institutions ranked by a composite indicator that combines three different sets of indicators based on research performance, innovation outputs and societal impact measured by their web visibility. It has secured a very high ranking in societal impact category.
It has secured 21st ranking in the societal impact category as compared to 139th rank in 2023. University of Lucknow has been scaling new heights among the global academic rankings. The significant jump in the SCImago Institutions ranking is result of various significant policy decision taken by the University to increase quality of education, research and publications under the able leadership of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. Alok Kumar Rai. On this big achievement, Prof Alok Kumar Rai said that “As the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Lucknow, I am pleased to share that our institution has demonstrated commendable performance on Scimago.
