Varanasi: Lions Club Varanasi Royal organised a service and support programme at Kashi Kushtha Seva Sangh in Hiramnpur, Ashapur, as part of Lions Service Week. The initiative focused on providing essential assistance to 48 destitute elderly residents living at the institution.
The club distributed medicines, food items, fruits, biscuits, roasted gram, detergent and other daily-use essentials. Club members also interacted with the elderly residents, enquired about their well-being and spent time with them.

During the programme, members met the institution’s manager, Ram Chandra Srivastava, popularly known as Baba Ji, to understand the residents’ daily requirements and arrange necessary supplies accordingly.
The members said that meaningful service goes beyond providing material assistance and also involves offering companionship, dignity and a sense of belonging to people in need.

Club president Akhilesh Agrawal said the organisation would continue reaching out to underserved and needy sections of society through similar initiatives.
Club secretary Sanjeev Agrawal, treasurer Ravi Ranjan Agrawal and several other members attended the programme. Service Week coordinators Piyush Agrawal and Sumit Agrawal, along with programme coordinators Anjani Jhunjhunwala and Rishidev Agrawal, contributed to its successful organisation.
At the conclusion, Ram Chandra Srivastava expressed gratitude to Lions Club Varanasi Royal for its support and assistance.
