Jerusalem: The Israeli Defense Ministry said that the country has received more than 50 thousand tons of military equipment and ammunition since the start of the military operation in Gaza.
The ministry said, “These include armored vehicles, war materials, ammunition, personal protection and medical equipment.”
According to the news agency Xinhua, these military equipment and ammunition were used during the ongoing war against Hezbollah in the Gaza Strip and on the Israel-Lebanon border.
The ministry did not say from which countries the weapons were purchased, although Israeli government officials had previously said that most of the weapons and ammunition were purchased from the United States and Europe.
Israel launched a massive attack against Hamas in the Gaza Strip after Hamas attacked the southern Israeli border on October 7 last year.
About 1,200 people were killed and about 250 were taken hostage in the Hamas attack. According to Gaza-based health officials, more than 40,400 Palestinians have been killed in the ongoing Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip.
