Lucknow: The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), Lucknow, will organise the two-day spiritual festival ‘Gita Rasamritam-2’ on October 24 and 25 at Sri Sri Radha Raman Bihari Ji Temple in Ansal Sushant Golf City, along Shaheed Path.

Details of the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita knowledge festival were shared during a press conference held at Hotel Radisson, near Burlington Crossing on Cantonment Road, Lucknow, on October 23. ISKCON Lucknow temple president Aprimeya Shyam Prabhu outlined the programme and invited residents, particularly young people and children, to participate in the spiritual gathering.
The festival will begin at 5 pm on both days with Harinam Sankirtan from 5 pm to 5.45 pm, followed by a special performance by Mukunda Rock Band from 5.45 pm to 6.30 pm. The discourses will explore questions concerning faith, life, death and human suffering, including whether God exists, whether the soul dies, whether God is formless or has a personal form, why people experience suffering despite their wishes, why wrongdoers sometimes escape punishment, and why misfortunes befall good people.

Several prominent dignitaries have been invited to attend the festival, including Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel, Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, Jal Shakti Minister Swatantra Dev Singh, Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh, Energy Minister Arvind Kumar Singh, Transport Minister Dayashankar Singh and former chief minister Akhilesh Yadav.
The press conference was attended by Anand Swarup Agarwal, chairman of the temple construction committee; Bhoktaram Prabhu, vice-president; Lakshman Sarvapriya Prabhu, festival committee chairman; Amrit Naam Prabhu; Ras Manohar Prabhu; and Dev Rakshak Prabhu.
Concluding the briefing, Aprimeya Shyam Prabhu thanked the print and electronic media for their continued support and appealed to Lucknow residents to attend the festival with their families.
