New Delhi: The Passing Out Parade (POP) of the 01/26 batch of trainees will be held at INS Chilka on June 12, 2026, marking the successful completion of 16 weeks of intensive ab-initio training by the eighth batch of Agniveers of the Indian Navy and Naviks of the Indian Coast Guard.
The parade represents a significant milestone in the transformation of young recruits into disciplined, resilient and professionally competent sea warriors prepared to serve the nation. The event underscores the Indian Navy’s enduring commitment to training excellence as the foundation of a capable and professional fighting force.
Vice Admiral Sanjay Vatsayan, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Western Naval Command, will attend the ceremony as the Chief Guest and Reviewing Officer. The occasion will also be witnessed by family members of the graduating trainees, distinguished veterans, eminent sportspersons and other dignitaries.
INS Chilka, the premier basic training establishment of the Indian Navy, continues to play a crucial role in shaping recruits through a comprehensive programme of academic, physical and outdoor training rooted in the core values of Duty, Honour and Courage.

As part of the celebrations, the Chief Guest will preside over the Valedictory Function and present awards and trophies to outstanding trainees, the Champion Division and the Best Instructor. The bilingual trainees’ magazine, Ankur, will also be unveiled during the event.
Following the Passing Out Parade, the trainees will proceed to various naval establishments and frontline warships of the Indian Navy and Indian Coast Guard for specialised professional training and afloat attachments, beginning the next phase of their military careers.
The ceremony will be live-streamed on the Indian Navy’s official social media platforms, allowing audiences across the country to witness the proud occasion.
