Heartfelt Tributes Paid to P.C. Joshi: *Melodies of Devotion and Reverence Resound at ‘Bhajan Sandhya’*

Lucknow:  Today, a tribute meeting and a grand Bhajan (devotional music) ceremony were organized at the Visvesvaraya Auditorium on M.G. Marg to honor the memory of the late P.C. Joshi—husband of former Minister and former MP Rita Bahuguna Joshi. The event unfolded amidst an atmosphere of deep reverence, emotion, and spirituality. The programs were attended by numerous prominent figures from the political, social, cultural, and religious spheres; a large number of senior citizens were also present to offer their floral tributes to the late P.C. Joshi.

During the tribute meeting, while recalling the late P.C. Joshi’s simple, gentle, and amiable personality, speakers noted that throughout his life, he consistently accorded the highest priority to humanism, simplicity, and social values. His persona served as a source of inspiration for everyone, and his memories will forever remain alive in the hearts of the people. The assembled gathering observed a two-minute silence and offered prayers for the peace of the departed soul.

Subsequently, during the Bhajan Sandhya (evening of devotional songs), renowned Bhajan singer Kishore Chaturvedi imbued the entire auditorium with a spirit of deep devotion through his melodious and soulful renditions. His performances—including “Naam Ram,” “Shyam Bhajan,” and other devotional hymns—left the devotees deeply moved and spiritually uplifted. Through these Bhajans, a magnificent confluence of reverence, devotion, and heartfelt sentiment was witnessed.

Attendees at the tribute meeting included his son Mayank Joshi, daughter-in-law Richa Joshi, former Chief Minister Dr. Ammar Rizvi, State Government Ministers Kapil Dev Agarwal, Jaiveer Singh, Rakesh Sachan, Dayashankar Singh, Danish Azad Ansari, and Arun Saxena; Rajya Sabha MPs Sanjay Seth and Neeraj Shekhar; former Ministers Abhishek Mishra and Mohsin Raza; former Home Minister of Maharashtra Kripa Shankar Singh; Information Commissioner P.N. Dwivedi; MLA Rajeshwar Singh; Mayor Sushma Kharkwal; Alka Das; and Viraj Sagar Das, along with various saints and spiritual leaders who had traveled from different states to pay their respects to the late P.C. Joshi. Expressing deep condolences on behalf of the Joshi family, prayers were offered to God to grant the departed soul a place at His holy feet and to bestow upon the family the strength to bear this immense sorrow.
