“From Vision to Sensitivity”: Young FOAP Photographers Showcase Creative Expression at AKTU Exhibition

Lucknow: A two-day photography exhibition titled “Drishya Se Samvedana Tak” (From Vision to Sensitivity) opened on Thursday at the Faculty of Architecture and Planning of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow. Organised by fourth-year students of the Photography elective course, the exhibition will continue till May 8.

The exhibition was inaugurated by Dean Vandana Sehgal and Head of Department Ritu Gulati. Architectural photographer and faculty coordinator Vaibhav Kulshreshtha guided the exhibition.

The showcased works creatively depict architecture, interiors, urban spaces, culture, nature and human emotions through compelling visual storytelling. The photographs highlighted composition, lighting, texture, spatial understanding and the relationship between people and built environments.

Praising the students’ artistic vision and technical skills, Vandana Sehgal said such creative platforms strengthen architectural understanding and visual communication. Ritu Gulati noted that the exhibition reflected impressive artistic expression and storytelling abilities among students.

Senior photographer Atul Hundoo also visited the exhibition and interacted with participants on technical and artistic dimensions of photography.

Artists Bhupendra Asthana and Dheeraj Yadav described photography as a sensitive medium that captures not just visuals, but emotions, memories and untold stories of life.

The exhibition features creative works by students including Ankitt Verma, Arnav Pandey, Vaibhavi Saxena, Tiya Banerjee and Sakshi Gopal, among others.
