Gonda: The District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Gonda, organised an alumni meet for teachers who had previously received training at the institute and are now serving as teachers under the Basic Education Council, Gonda.
The programme was held under the chairmanship of DIET Gonda Principal Ram Sagar Tripathi. Four teachers from each development block were invited to participate in the event and reconnect with their former institute.

The programme began with the traditional garlanding of an image of Goddess Saraswati and the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Principal Ram Sagar Tripathi. Addressing the gathering, the principal discussed several important aspects of school education, including improving the quality of education, punctuality, maintaining cleanliness and attractiveness of schools, classroom teaching according to the prescribed timetable, and monitoring students’ learning levels under the NIPUN Bharat Mission.
The former trainees were welcomed with badges during the programme. The event also provided an opportunity for teachers to revisit their training experiences and reconnect with former faculty members.
The gathering was addressed by DIET lecturers Gyan Bahadur Pasi, Omkar Chaudhary and Omkar Nath Gupta, along with teacher Afsar Hasan from the Alimuni team. The speakers shared their experiences and emphasised the importance of applying effective teaching practices in schools.

The programme was successfully conducted by Omkar Nath Gupta, lecturer at DIET Gonda.
The alumni meet created an atmosphere of warmth and nostalgia, with participating teachers recalling memories from their training days and remembering the lecturers and teachers who had guided them during that period. DIET faculty members also extended their affection, encouragement and best wishes to the former trainees.
The event concluded on a positive note, strengthening the bond between DIET Gonda and its former trainees while encouraging teachers to continue working towards improving the quality of school education.
