Four-day, three-night packages offer Ganga boat rides, temple visits, Ganga Aarti and cultural experiences; prices start at ₹15,999 per person
Lucknow: Visitors to Varanasi during Dev Deepawali 2026 will get an opportunity to experience the city’s spiritual splendour through specially designed tourism packages launched by the Uttar Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation (UPSTDC).
Under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s vision to give Dev Deepawali a global identity, the Tourism Department has introduced a four-day, three-night ‘Dev Deepawali – Divya Kashi Experience’ package. The initiative aims to showcase Varanasi’s ancient traditions, spiritual heritage and spectacular celebrations to domestic and international tourists.
The packages are available in three categories – Budget, Deluxe and Premium – priced at ₹15,999, ₹21,999 and ₹31,999 per person, respectively. The rates are based on twin sharing, with GST charged separately. Accommodation options include standard, three-star and four/five-star hotels.
The itinerary begins with visitors’ arrival at Varanasi airport or railway station, followed by hotel check-in, evening darshan at Kashi Vishwanath Dham and participation in the Ganga Aarti.
The second day includes a morning boat ride on the Ganga and visits to prominent religious sites, including Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Vishalakshi Temple, Annapurna Temple and Kaal Bhairav Temple. Tourists will also visit Sarnath and explore the city’s spiritual and cultural heritage.
The third day will be the highlight of the tour, featuring the spectacular Dev Deepawali celebrations. Visitors will witness the illuminated ghats, elaborate decorations and cultural performances. A special Dev Deepawali boat experience will offer panoramic views of the thousands of lamps illuminating the riverfront.

The package includes three nights’ accommodation, daily breakfast, air-conditioned transportation, special Dev Deepawali and morning Ganga boat rides, Ganga Aarti, temple visits, a Sarnath excursion and assistance from a tour escort or representative.
Tourists can book the packages through the UPSTDC website or contact 8303019844 for reservations.
The initiative aims to offer visitors more than a conventional sightseeing experience by allowing them to immerse themselves in the spiritual atmosphere and cultural richness of Kashi. It is also expected to strengthen religious tourism, generate local employment and economic opportunities, and enhance Varanasi’s visibility on the international tourism map.
The state government believes the special packages will help position Dev Deepawali as a major global tourism attraction while providing visitors with a comprehensive experience of the city’s timeless heritage.
