Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath convened a crucial meeting at his official residence to discuss strategies for employment generation in the state. Representatives from various departments and institutions presented proposals highlighting opportunities and plans for creating jobs. The Chief Minister instructed officials to implement solid action plans for employment generation in their respective departments.
He also stressed the importance of involving subject experts to accelerate efforts towards achieving the state’s ambitious goal of a $1 trillion economy. According to CM Yogi, a robust Uttar Pradesh would play a pivotal role in building a New India by driving economic growth and creating employment opportunities.
Regular Review of $1 Trillion Economy Plan
During the meeting, CM Yogi highlighted that providing timely and skill-appropriate jobs for the youth is a top priority for his government. He urged officials to maximize the use of local resources to generate employment and directed them to enhance skill development programs to promote entrepreneurship.
The state government has divided the $1 trillion economy initiative into ten key sectors, integrating all departments to work cohesively. CM Yogi personally reviews the progress every three months, with monthly reviews conducted by respective ministers and bi-weekly evaluations by department heads. A dedicated CM Dashboard monitors the ongoing efforts.
Call for Enhanced Collaboration with Experts
The Chief Minister encouraged institutional representatives to familiarize themselves with the state’s working methodologies through the CM Dashboard. He emphasized the need to collaborate with subject experts to enhance employment opportunities and accelerate the $1 trillion economy initiative.
Focus on Key Sectors for Job Creation
Highlighting sectors like healthcare, education, tourism, construction, and manufacturing as having the highest potential for job creation, CM Yogi directed special attention to these areas. He also mentioned that the Prayagraj Mahakumbh 2025 presents a unique opportunity to showcase Uttar Pradesh’s culture and spirituality to the world.
The Mahakumbh, a confluence of religion, spirituality, and culture, should also facilitate discussions on employment, skill development, knowledge, and technology. According to CM Yogi, these efforts will give a new direction to both job creation and the $1 trillion economy goal.
Gorakhpur Link Expressway: A Testament to Determination
CM Yogi also reiterated the importance of advancing healthcare infrastructure by establishing super-specialty hospitals in every district and accelerating telemedicine projects. Additionally, he instructed the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) to expand its fleet of buses and identify new routes to improve connectivity and create more job opportunities.
This meeting underscores the state government’s commitment to aligning economic growth with employment generation, paving the way for a prosperous and self-reliant Uttar Pradesh.
