Bareilly DM Reviews National Clean Air Programme Works, Directs Officials to Expedite Projects

Bareilly: District Magistrate Avinash Singh chaired a review meeting of the National Clean Air Programme (NCAP) at the Collectorate auditorium on Saturday, taking stock of the progress of projects being implemented under the programme by the Municipal Corporation, Public Works Department, Forest Department and other concerned agencies.

During the meeting, Municipal Commissioner Sanjeev Kumar Maurya informed the District Magistrate that a total of ₹279.24 crore has been allocated to Bareilly district under the NCAP, of which ₹165.37 crore has been received so far.

A total of 149 works have been sanctioned under the programme, of which 125 have been assigned to the Municipal Corporation.

The District Magistrate directed officials to accelerate all sanctioned NCAP projects and ensure that there was no compromise whatsoever with the quality of construction and other works. He stressed the need for regular coordination with executing agencies so that projects are completed within the stipulated timelines.

The meeting reviewed the tendering process for sanctioned works, date-wise progress of projects that had commenced after the completion of the tender process, expenditure of allocated funds, availability of the remaining funds and the status of pending works.

The District Magistrate directed the concerned officials to take necessary action on all pending issues and ensure measurable progress within the prescribed deadlines. He also emphasised close monitoring of ongoing projects to ensure timely implementation and effective utilisation of funds.

Divisional Forest Officer Diksha Bhandari, Municipal Commissioner Sanjeev Kumar Maurya and officials from the concerned departments attended the meeting.
