People in Israel are angry over the killing of hostages by Hamas fighters in Gaza. A few days ago, several labor organizations called for a strike on Monday in protest against the Israeli government’s failure to release the hostages safely.

According to the Xinhua agency, about seven lakh people participated in the demonstration across the country. About five and a half lakh people participated in the Tel Aviv rally. There are still about a hundred Israeli hostages in the custody of Hamas.

Israel was attacked on 7 October last year. 1200 people lost their lives in this attack. At the same time, Hamas took more than 250 people hostage.
