Amity University Lucknow Unveils “AMIPHORIA-2025” – A Grand Celebration of Culture, Talent, and Creativity
Lucknow: Amity University Lucknow has set the stage for an extraordinary cultural celebration with the grand inauguration of “AMIPHORIA-2025.” With the theme “Relive, Rejoice, and Recharge,” this three-day festival promises an electrifying display of talent, creativity, and cultural vibrancy. Featuring over 50 thrilling competitions and performances, AMIPHORIA-2025 is more than just a fest—it is an immersive experience where energy meets expression and passion takes center stage.
The festivities began with a lively carnival procession, as students from various departments came together with dance, music, and enthusiasm, setting the tone for the grand event. The vibrant procession energized the campus and culminated at the central stage, where Prof. (Dr.) Anil Vashisth, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Amity University Lucknow Campus, Wg. Cdr. Dr. Anil Kumar Tiwari, Deputy Pro Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Manju Agrawal, Dean of Student Welfare, Dr. Rajesh K. Tiwari, Dean of Academics, along with other esteemed Heads of Departments and Institutions, formally inaugurated AMIPHORIA-2025 by lighting the ceremonial lamp.
A traditional cake-cutting ceremony followed, where attendees shared a massive celebratory cake, adding a sweet touch to the commencement of the event.
Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Anil Vashisth congratulated the students and participants on the occasion and emphasized that the festival serves as a platform for them to explore, refine, and showcase their talents.
A special cultural competition, showcasing the diverse festivals of India, brought together students from different departments to present vibrant performances based on Holi, Diwali, Eid, Christmas, Lohri, Onam, Baisakhi, Navratri, Durga Puja, Dussehra, and Mahashivratri, among others. Each department represented a festival through an energetic and engaging performance. Amity Law School’s portrayal of Chhath Puja won first place, while Amity Business School’s Navratri performance secured the runner-up position.
In a nostalgic tribute to Indian cinema, students presented a spectacular dance performance that transported the audience to the golden era of Bollywood. Classic hits like “Mera Joota Hai Japani,” “Ramaiya Vastavaiya,” and “Kisi Ki Muskurahaton Pe Ho Nisar” created an atmosphere of timeless charm, leaving the audience enthralled.
One of the major highlights of the day was “Dil Ki Kalam Se,” a joint presentation by the Abhivyakti Club and the PR & Communication Department.
The event featured an enchanting musical performance by renowned Ghazal singer Dr. Prabha Shrivastava, accompanied by poet Chandra Shekhar Varma. Dr. Shrivastava captivated the audience with improvised renditions of classic Hindi songs such as “Bade Achhe Lagte Hain” and “Meri Awaaz Hi Pehchaan Hai,” with the modified lyrics penned by Chandra Shekhar Varma, who also moderated the session.
The evening concluded with the much-anticipated “Xuberance Mr. & Ms. Amity” contest, organized by Amity Business School. Participants competed in multiple rounds, showcasing their confidence, charm, and enthusiasm on the ramp. The event celebrated the multifaceted personalities of students who not only excel academically but also display intelligence, social commitment, confidence, and self-reliance.
With over 6,000 students in attendance, AMIPHORIA-2025 commenced with unparalleled energy, celebrating the spirit of youth, creativity, and innovation. A wide array of competitions across diverse domains, including Antaragini, Amity Idol Season 6, Kavi Sammelan, Nishkaam Karma – Nukkad Natak Competition, Sufi Khayal, Rangmanch 2.0, Bollywood Quiz, Kala Kriti, Graffiti Art, Floor Art Fiesta, Collage Making, Xpressions, Digital 2D/3D Art, Eco-Fusion 2024, Laughter Gala 2.0, Riddle Rush, E-Larious, Dream Room Challenge, Dodge The Ball, REEL IT – Instagram Reel Making Competition 2025, Murder Mayhem – Treasure Hunt, Play & Slay Gaming Events, Technovation, Squid Game Season 2, Drone Racing, AmiQuest 2025 – State-Level Quiz Competition, D’Cipher, Puzzle Mania, Mental Marathon, Healthy Cooking Competition, Frosting Fantasies, Leafy Paradise, Heels and Deals, Building the Future, and Interactive Oasis, commenced on the first day and will continue over the next two days. As AMIPHORIA-2025 unfolds, the festival promises to be an unforgettable celebration of talent, culture, and creative brilliance.
