‘Sab Golmaal Hai’ Brings Laughter
As part of the dance-drama-music festival organized under the aegis of Join Hands Foundation and Lokangan, the comedy play Sab Golmaal Hai, written by Rajkumar Anil and directed by Nitesh Kumar, left the audience in splits. The play was presented by Natya Shala Foundation and Om Shri Ganpati Seva Social Organization. Filled with effortless humor, the play conveyed a message against greed.
The plot revolves around a wealthy businessman whose daughter lives alone. To manage his finances and household, he appoints an accountant, Munshi Ramji, and employs an easygoing servant, Chatanki, who considers the house his own and speaks to everyone loudly, including the businessman and Munshi Ramji. Meanwhile, neighbor Prem Kumar, a poet, loves the businessman’s daughter, Priya, and constantly writes poetry for her. However, the businessman wants Priya to marry Malay Kumar, the only son of his late friend, Dinanath. Seizing the opportunity, the greedy Munshi Ramji introduces a fake Malay Kumar (Mukesh), a poor artist, hoping to gain control over the businessman’s wealth. Just then, the real Malay Kumar arrives, leading to a series of comical misunderstandings. The hilarious situations that ensue kept the audience entertained, with the truth finally coming to light in the end.
