AKTU Vice Chancellor Professor JP Pandey inaugurated badminton game, on the first day badminton, table tennis, carrom and chess were played
Lucknow: The Silver Jubilee Year Celebration of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University is being celebrated from May 7, 2024 to May 8, 2025. On this occasion, the Intra University Sports Tournament was inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Prof. JP Pandey by playing badminton in the university campus. On this occasion, he said that sports not only keep our body and mind healthy but also inspire us to work with a team spirit. We all should take out some time from our busy life and play some sport.
The competition will be organized from 9th to 21st September. In this sports competition to be held between two weeks, there will be games of cricket, athletics, badminton, volleyball, table tennis, carrom, chess.
Teams of Vice Chancellor XI, Registrar XI, Finance Officer XI, Controller of Examination XI, IET XI, FOAP XI, CASH XI, Dean XI, Pharma XI, Management XI are participating in it. On the first day, matches of badminton, table tennis, chess and carrom were organized.
Six badminton matches were held. Dean 11 emerged victorious in the doubles men. In which Professor Anurag Tripathi and Rakesh Pejwar participated. While Cash 11 won in the women’s doubles. Monica and Shubhi participated in it. Kamal Kumar Pandey of Dean 11 won in chess. In table tennis, Shantanu Pathak of Registrar 11 and Tabish Ahmed Abdullah of FOAP reached the finals. A carrom match was also held.
On this occasion, the coordinator of the competition Professor OP Singh, Professor Virendra Pathak, Dr. RK Singh, co-convener Ranjit Singh, Dr. Manoj Kumar, Gaurav Rai etc. provided assistance in organizing the competition. During this, teachers, officers, employees were present.
