Gonda: The district administration has intensified relief and rescue operations in flood-affected areas of Tarabganj tehsil following directions from District Magistrate Priyanka Niranjan.
Additional District Magistrate Pramod Jha, Tarabganj Tehsildar Ashutosh Pandey, Disaster Management Expert Rajesh Srivastava and teams from the Revenue Department conducted on-site inspections of flood-hit villages including Ailipersauli, Garhi and Amdahi and adjoining areas. The officials assessed the flood situation, waterlogging, problems faced by residents and the relief arrangements in place.
During the visit, officials interacted directly with affected villagers and assured them that the administration was committed to providing all possible assistance. Residents were also advised to remain alert and follow necessary safety instructions issued by the administration.
Relief food and other essential supplies are being continuously provided to affected families. Lunch packets were distributed among residents during the inspection to provide immediate assistance to families facing difficulties due to flooding.
Officials reviewed the progress of relief operations with Revenue and other personnel and directed them to ensure that affected families receive assistance without delay.
District Magistrate Priyanka Niranjan has instructed all concerned officials to regularly visit flood-affected areas, assess the situation on the ground and address residents’ grievances on priority. Departments and Revenue teams have been kept on alert, with instructions to maintain continuous communication with villagers and promptly intensify relief measures whenever required.
