Gonda DM Inspects 10 Polling Booths to Review Voter Registration Drive

Gonda: Gonda District Magistrate and District Election Officer Priyanka Niranjan inspected 10 polling stations in Sadar tehsil on Saturday as part of the Special Campaign under the Continuous Revision of Electoral Rolls 2026.

The inspection aimed to review election-related activities and ensure that all eligible citizens, particularly first-time young voters, get an opportunity to register their names on the electoral rolls.

During the visit, Niranjan inspected 10 polling stations established at PM Shri Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Government Inter College (GIC) and Government Girls Inter College (GGIC) in Gonda. She reviewed the ongoing work related to voter registration and the implementation of the special campaign.

The revision drive focuses on identifying eligible citizens whose names are yet to be included in the electoral rolls. Special emphasis is being placed on encouraging young people eligible to vote for the first time to complete their registration and participate in the democratic process.

The administration is monitoring the exercise to ensure that the electoral rolls remain accurate, updated and inclusive. The initiative seeks to prevent eligible citizens from being left out of the voter list and strengthen public participation in elections.

Sub-Divisional Magistrate Gonda Sadar Jitendra Gautam, Sadar Tehsildar Manish Kumar and other officials were present during the inspection.
