Celebrating 101 Years of Dedicated Service, Commitment & Professional Excellence. The Military Nursing Service commemorated its 101st year, marking over a century of dedicated service and professional excellence in military healthcare. The celebrations were organised at Shivam Lawns, Command Hospital, Central Command, Lucknow, honouring the rich legacy and contribution of generations of Nursing Officers.
The celebrations included Wreath Laying Ceremony at the AMC War Memorial and Cake Cutting at the Nursing Officers’ Mess on 01 October 2026. The celebrations culminated at Shivam Lawn, Command Hospital, Central Command, Lucknow, on 03 October 2026.

Lt Gen CJ Jayachandran, Chief of Staff (COS), Central Command, the chief Guest, congratulated the MNS fraternity on entering its 101st year and acknowledged the exemplary contribution of Nursing Officers to competent, compassionate and patient-centred military healthcare. He emphasised the importance of professional excellence, continuous learning, innovation, research and adoption of emerging technologies, while retaining the human touch in nursing. He also appreciated the teaching fraternity for their role in patient care, education, training and mentoring.
The 101st-year celebration honoured the legacy of the past, achievements of the present and commitment towards the future, reaffirming the enduring values of service, compassion, courage and professionalism of the Military Nursing Services.
