Bareilly: A fresher party was organised at the Department of B.Ed. and M.Ed. of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University to welcome first-year B.Ed. students. The event was hosted by second-year B.Ed. students under the guidance of Vice-Chancellor Professor Anil Kumar Rai.
The programme began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by department head Professor Santosh Arora and faculty members. Students Vibhati Agarwal, Divya, Anjali and Sumit conducted the programme.
The cultural segment featured captivating dance performances by Mansi, Shivani and Asha Gangwar, while Manishi and Parineeti presented a duet dance. Aishanshi’s performance on “Mercy Drama” added a special attraction, while Dilip’s rendition of “Woh Kagaz Ki Kashti, Woh Barish Ka Paani” evoked nostalgic memories of childhood. Shruti and Trisha also presented a musical performance.
Sunil Singh Negi was crowned Mr Fresher and Ashmi Juneja Miss Fresher. Tarun Kumar and Aishanshi Singh were declared runners-up.
The event concluded with an inspiring address by Professor Santosh Arora, who encouraged students to move ahead with renewed energy, enthusiasm and positive thinking. Faculty members, research scholars and students participated actively, making the event lively and memorable.
