Gonda: A farewell ceremony was organised on Wednesday at the auditorium of the Reserve Police Lines in Gonda to honour police officers and personnel retiring from service.
Superintendent of Police Abhishek felicitated the retiring personnel and expressed gratitude for their long and dedicated service to the police department and the public. He presented mementoes and gifts to the retirees and wished them a healthy, peaceful and fulfilling life ahead.
Addressing the gathering, the SP said serving in the police department is an important responsibility and that the contributions made by the retiring officers and employees during their tenure would always be remembered with respect. He said retirement marks the end of government service, but the experience and guidance of retired personnel would continue to remain valuable for both the department and society.
He also extended his best wishes to the retirees for a healthy and happy family life in the years ahead.
Additional SP East Ajit Kumar Rajak, Additional SP West Nitesh and other police officers and personnel attended the ceremony.
Those retiring from service were Reserve Inspector Ajay Pratap Singh, Sub-Inspector (Civil Police) Pankaj Shukla and Head Constable Sarvjeet Yadav.
