Gonda: Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, Devipatan Range, Ashok Kumar, conducted a public grievance hearing during the Sampoorna Samadhan Diwas at Sadar Tehsil in Gonda on Saturday, directing officials to ensure the timely and effective resolution of complaints through coordinated efforts.
Interacting with complainants, the DIG listened to a range of public grievances and instructed the concerned officials to dispose of them within the prescribed timeframe while maintaining the highest standards of quality. He stressed that grievance redressal should be citizen-centric and based on thorough factual verification rather than mere procedural compliance.
Addressing officials during the programme, Ashok Kumar emphasised that the Police and Revenue departments must work in close coordination to resolve public complaints efficiently. He said the government’s priority is to provide swift and effective solutions to citizens’ problems, and all departments should strengthen inter-departmental coordination to achieve this objective.

The DIG specifically directed officials to give priority to revenue, land dispute and other public interest matters, ensuring that cases are resolved within the stipulated timeline. He underlined that complaints should not be disposed of as a formality but only after proper investigation and to the satisfaction of the complainants.
Additional Superintendent of Police, Gonda, along with other police, revenue and administrative officials, was present during the public hearing.
