Lucknow: Students of Primary School Maheshpur celebrated International Tiger Day (Global Tiger Day) by participating in a series of creative activities aimed at promoting wildlife conservation and raising awareness about the importance of protecting tigers and their natural habitats.
A poster-making competition on the theme “Save the Tiger” encouraged children to express the need for tiger conservation through artwork and messages highlighting the importance of preserving forests and biodiversity. In the painting competition, Class III student Aanchal Yadav secured first place, followed by Anshika Chauhan in second place and Antima in third.
Students also prepared masks depicting tigers and other wildlife commonly found in tiger reserves, including deer and kingfishers. Wearing the masks, they participated in an awareness campaign using posters, banners and paintings to educate people about the need to conserve tigers and protect their habitats.
Teachers Kalpana Tiwari, Varsha Tripathi, Anil Prajapati, Madhavi Singh, Rinku Yadav and other staff members were present during the programme and encouraged students to become ambassadors for wildlife conservation.
