Asian Table Tennis Championships 2025: Bhubaneswar to Host 22 Nations and 500 Players from October 11

New Delhi – Bhubaneswar is set to host the 28th ITTF-ATTU Asian Table Tennis Team Championships from October 11 to 15 at the iconic Kalinga Stadium, marking the first time Odisha will stage a continental-level table tennis event.

Organizers confirmed participation from 22 countries, with more than 500 delegates, including around 450 players, support staff, and 70–80 Asian Table Tennis Union (ATTU) officials. This championship returns to India after a gap of 16 years, making it a significant milestone for the sport in the country.

Powerhouse teams like China, Japan, and South Korea will field strong 10-member squads each in both men’s and women’s categories, accompanied by large support contingents. The event is being seen as a crucial build-up to the 2026 World Team Championships in London, offering players the chance to test strategies against Asia’s best.

The Odisha State Table Tennis Association (OSTTA) expressed readiness to welcome participants, calling it a landmark opportunity to showcase Odisha as a global sporting destination.
