Lucknow – “Education is extremely essential for the development of one’s personality. After the government’s demolition drive in Akbarnagar, the future of the children there was bleak, and they were deprived of education. In such a situation, providing free education to these children through the Savitri Fatima Montessori School is a very significant task. Our appeal to every resident of Lucknow is to extend all possible help in this endeavor.” These were the words of social activist Dinkar Kapoor , addressing the attendees at the first annual function of the Savitri Fatima School, established for the displaced children of Akbarnagar. During the ceremony, children who secured the first, second, and third positions in their respective classes were awarded prizes, and all children received gifts.
The program also observed a moment of silence to express condolences for the victims of the terrorist attack in Pahalgam.

On this occasion, the founder of the school, Imran Raja, said that running the school is only possible with everyone’s cooperation. “Our dream is to develop the school further and elevate it to the intermediate level in the times to come,” he added. He quoted Dr. Ambedkar, saying, “Education is like the milk of a tigress; only after obtaining it does a person become capable in the world.” The school’s Principal, Hina Javed, stated that the children have shown remarkable progress in a very short time, and “our effort is to lay a foundation in these children so that they can achieve great things in their lives in the future.” Guest Saddam Hussain assured all possible assistance. A large number of children and their parents were present on the occasion.
