First Batch of 41 Sikh Devotees from Sarojininagar Departs for Kartarpur Sahib

Amritsar Welcomes Devotees with Grandeur, Ardas at Golden Temple for Universal Welfare

Lucknow: With immense faith and historical grandeur, the much-anticipated Amritsar-Kartarpur pilgrimage from Sarojininagar commenced. The first batch of 41 Sikh devotees embarked on their sacred journey to Kartarpur Sahib. From as early as 5 AM, a massive crowd of supporters and devotees gathered at Amausi Airport to bid them farewell. MLA Dr. Rajeshwar Singh extended his warm wishes to the pilgrims, adorning them with garlands and scarves as he saw them off on their spiritual journey.

Every minute detail of this historic pilgrimage was meticulously planned under the guidance of MLA Dr. Singh to ensure a seamless and spiritually fulfilling journey for the devotees. From travel arrangements to accommodations in Amritsar and Kartarpur, his team ensured that all aspects of the pilgrimage were well taken care of. Additionally, volunteers from the MLA’s team will accompany the devotees throughout their journey to provide necessary assistance.

Dr. Rajeshwar Singh’s initiative is not merely a religious trip but a commitment to preserving faith, tradition, and culture. In the past, he has successfully organized 37 Ramrath Shravan Ayodhya Yatras, facilitating the pilgrimage of over 5,000 devotees to Ayodhya and Naimisharanya Dham. His vision is clear: religious journeys not only uphold faith but also strengthen cultural values and social harmony. With the same spirit, be it the Ramrath Yatra or the Kartarpur pilgrimage, such noble initiatives will continue.

Grand Welcome in Amritsar – Ardas at the Golden Temple

Upon arrival at Amritsar Airport, the devotees from Sarojininagar received a grand welcome with traditional drum beats and celebrations. Overwhelmed with devotion and gratitude, the pilgrims expressed immense satisfaction with the arrangements made by Dr. Singh. After a brief rest, they proceeded to Sri Harmandir Sahib (Golden Temple), where they offered prayers and performed the sacred Ardas, chanting, “Nanak Naam Chardi Kala, Tere Bhaane Sarbat Da Bhala!” They prayed for the holistic development, prosperity, and welfare of Sarojininagar and its people.

Patriotic Fervor at Attari Border, Preparations for Kartarpur Darshan

At Attari Border, the devotees witnessed the awe-inspiring Beating Retreat Ceremony by the Indian soldiers. The sight of the national flag waving high filled everyone’s hearts with patriotic pride and emotion. The group will cross the Attari-Wagah Border to proceed towards Kartarpur Sahib.

Kartarpur Sahib holds immense spiritual significance, as it was here that Guru Nanak Dev Ji spent the last 18 years of his life. Unfortunately, post the 1947 partition, this revered pilgrimage site became inaccessible to Indian devotees. However, with the initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the ‘Kartarpur Corridor’ was inaugurated in November 2019, enabling Sikh devotees to once again visit their sacred site and pay homage to Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
