Lucknow: The body of a Bengaluru-based businessman, Nilesh Bhandari, was found under suspicious circumstances in a hotel located in the Chinhat area of the city. Upon receiving the information, police officials immediately reached the scene to initiate an investigation.
According to reports, the deceased, originally from Rajasthan, was residing in Bengaluru and managing his business there. He had reportedly arrived in Lucknow two days ago with his girlfriend. His body was discovered naked in the hotel room, raising several questions about the incident.
Police Investigation Underway
Lucknow ADCP East Zone, Pankaj Singh, stated that the hotel management alerted the police on January 20, 2025, about the death of a guest. Following the call, police arrived at the hotel, conducted an initial investigation, and sent the body for postmortem examination.
Preliminary investigations did not reveal any external injuries on the body. The police have informed the family of the deceased and are analyzing evidence to ascertain the cause of death.
Focus on Hotel Staff and Girlfriend
Authorities are questioning the hotel management and staff for details about the businessman’s stay. Additionally, his girlfriend, who accompanied him to Lucknow, is also being interrogated for potential leads. The police are awaiting the postmortem report to determine the exact cause of death.
