Prayagraj Mahakumbh to be a culturally rich extravaganza

Prayagraj: To make Maha Kumbh 2025 memorable for the devotees, a grand series of cultural programs will be organized by the Uttar Pradesh government. In these programs, Bollywood stars will enthrall the devotees through spiritual and cultural presentations. The cultural evening will also stage the sagas related to Maha Kumbh and the Leelas of Ramlila- Mahabharata. Apart from this, famous artists of the country will entertain the devotees with their performances.

Special performances by famous artists

Famous Bollywood actor Ashutosh Rana will perform on ‘Humare Ram’ at Ganga Pandal on January 25, in which he will play the role of Ravana. At the same time, on January 26, Mathura MP and Bollywood veteran actress Hema Malini will present a dance drama on Ganga Avtaran. After this, Bhojpuri and Bollywood actor Ravi Kishan will perform Shiva Tandava on February 8, and Mahabharat serial fame Puneet Issar will stage the Leelas of Mahabharata on February 21.

Special event on Kumbh saga
The saga of Kumbh will also be specially presented in the cultural programs of Maha Kumbh. On January 22, Kathak Kendra Sangeet Natak Academy will start a Kathak dance drama based on Kumbh. On January 23, Bharatendu Natya Academy of Lucknow will present Kakori Mahagatha. On February 1, choreographer Maitreya Pahadi will present the choreographed show Kumbh Ka Safarnama. On February 23, Reliance Entertainment and Sobo will screen the film ‘Kumbh Gatha’.

Performances by bands and artists from across the country
During Maha Kumbh, famous bands and artists from across the country will thrill the devotees with their performances. On January 11, Prince Group of Odisha will present Dashavatar dance. On January 16, Madhava Band of Mathura and Crazy Hoppers of Agra, Ricky Cage on January 17, Golden Girls of Kolkata on January 19, Bastar Band of Manipur on January 21, and Indian Ocean Band on February 7 will attract the audience with their performances. Apart from this, Agni Band on February 17, Mumbai’s Mati Bani Band on February 19, Sufi Band Thai Kudam Bridge on February 20 and Mumbai’s Kabira Band on February 22 will enchant the devotees with their music.

Staging of Ramlilas

Ramlilas of India as well as other countries will be staged in Ganga Pandal. Ramlilas will be staged with folk dances of different countries through ICCR on February 18 and 14. Ramlilas will be presented by Shriram Bharti Kala Kendra on February 15 and 16. On February 22, Shalini Khare of Madhya Pradesh will present Ramayana through Kathak.

Other cultural presentations

On January 20, a kavi sammelan will be organized by the famous poets of the country. On January 21, Rajesh Prasanna will present rare folk instruments. On January 24, choreographed shows and cultural presentations of different provinces will be done by UP Folk Night. On February 18, renowned flute player Rakesh Chaurasia will perform his flute. These cultural performances will make Maha Kumbh 2025 an unforgettable experience for the devotees, where there will be a confluence of religion and culture.
