Brian May suffers stroke, under supervision

London: Following a “scary” stroke, Brian May, the legendary musician from the British rock band Queen, is recovering well.

According to “Mirror UK,” the guitarist’s wife, Anita Dobson, has disclosed that his health has “stabilized” and that he is now playing the guitar and piano with the arm that he lost mobility in.

The rock icon had previously claimed in September that he lost use of his left arm “out of the blue.” He was taken to the hospital in an ambulance and later received a stroke diagnosis.

“He’s much better now, he’s stabilised now, which is brilliant,” said his 75-year-old wife, Anita. All I can hope is that there won’t be any further recurrences. It was a little difficult to use that arm, but he can now use it. So, yes, he is now ready to travel. In the home, he plays the piano a lot. He like Beethoven a lot. The piano in the home is quite calming, and I adore it.

A week after the “health hiccup,” as he referred to it, he acknowledged that he could play the guitar once again after realizing that he “did not have any control of one arm,” according to “Mirror UK.” Actress Anita, who portrayed Angie Watts in the serial opera Eastenders, now claims that Brian allowed himself some time before attempting to perform anything at all.

At the TRIC Christmas Lunch, when she received an award and was recognized as a Legend, she said, “He didn’t actually try until after he’d recovered quite a bit.” Then, very gently, he began to take up an acoustic guitar and work out his muscles. And it returned in a flash. He is only retraining your brain to tell that arm that it is safe to do its previous functions. It was horrible. Being a genius for someone like that is another thing. Simply put, his brain is overwhelmed. He is much too intelligent for his own good.

“I’m not allowed to go out – well, I’m not allowed to drive, I’m not allowed to get on a plane, and I’m not allowed to raise the heart rate too high,” Brian said at the time, indicating that he had been “grounded.”

However, he is now free to enjoy life to the fullest once again, and this month he and Anita will go to Lapland to “meet the elves” for Christmas.
