Lucknow: A week-long workshop being organised in the Economics Department of Lucknow University under the joint aegis of the Department of Economics and Population Research concluded on 3 August.
Workshop coordinator and Assistant Professor Dr. Dinesh Yadav said that the workshop was inaugurated on 29 July on the topic “Analysis of statistical data through SPSS and R-programming”. 85 research students of Economics Department participated in the workshop.
Assistant Professor and expert of Statistics Department, Lucknow University, Dr. Ashok Kumar explained the analysis of statistical data and its related nuances through modern software like R-programming and SPSS and trained the participants while analysing the data.
On the occasion of the closing of the workshop, Dean Arts Prof. Arvind Mohan ji while addressing the research students congratulated everyone for organizing the workshop and while praising the program said that such programs are certainly helpful in the research work of the researchers so that the researchers can easily analyze the data through modern technology.
Prof. Vinod Singh, Head of the Department of Economics and Director of Population Research Center, while giving the vote of thanks said that such programs have been organized in the department and in future programs will be organized for analyzing the data with other modern techniques so that better research work can be promoted in the subject of economics.
Earlier, expert Dr. Ashok Kumar was welcomed by giving a memento. Certificates were also given to the participants in the program. The program was conducted by Dr. Preeti Singh. On the said occasion, Prof. Manoj Kumar Agarwal, Prof. Roli Mishra, Dr. Shashilata Singh, Dr. Alpana Lal, Dr. Kamna Sengupta and Dr. Urvashi Sirohi and hundreds of researchers were present.
