Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government carried out a major administrative reshuffle late Monday, transferring 34 IAS officers across the state. The changes include new District Magistrates (DMs) in 14 districts, bringing significant administrative changes in several key districts.
Among the major appointments, Hardoi District Magistrate Anunay Jha has been transferred to Moradabad as the new DM. Rahul Pandey, who was serving as Special Secretary in the State Tax Department, has been appointed Hardoi District Magistrate.
M. Arunmoli, Vice-Chairperson of the Agra Development Authority and Divisional Food Controller, has been appointed DM of Etah. Amethi DM Sanjay Chauhan has been transferred to Kushinagar, while Kushinagar DM Mahendra Singh Tanwar will take charge as the new DM of Kanpur Nagar.
Anuj Malik, Chief Executive Officer of the Gorakhpur Industrial Development Authority, has been appointed Sant Kabir Nagar DM. Sant Kabir Nagar DM Alok Kumar will now serve as the District Magistrate of Pilibhit, while Pilibhit DM Gyanendra Singh has been transferred to Ballia.
Shashank Chaudhary, Additional Chief Executive Officer of Invest UP and UPEIDA, has been appointed Amethi DM.
Further changes include the appointment of Moradabad Municipal Commissioner Divyanshu Patel as Baghpat DM, Special Secretary Namami Gange and Rural Water Supply Prabhas Kumar as Mahoba DM, and Special Secretary Backward Classes Welfare Umesh Pratap Singh as Bijnor DM.
Special Secretary Urban Development Satya Prakash Patel has been appointed Hathras DM, while Ashok Kumar, Special Secretary Irrigation and Water Resources and Prisons Administration and Reform, has been appointed Hamirpur DM.
The reshuffle also involves senior officials in key departments. Former Bijnor DM Jasjit Kaur has been appointed Managing Director of the Uttar Pradesh Electronics Corporation. Kanpur Nagar DM Jitendra Pratap Singh has been appointed Director of the Uttar Pradesh State Agricultural Produce Market Board.
The latest transfers are part of a wider administrative restructuring in the state, with responsibilities being reassigned across districts and government departments.
